Axis Amplifiers - Intermittent Alarms

Thứ năm - 20/03/2025 08:49

Axis amplifiers experiencing the intermittent alarms mentioned below need to verify the criteria listed before further troubleshooting the machine or replacing the amplifier.

{Axis}.993 - Amplifier Short Circuit during run time:

  1. Confirm the part number for the amplifier in the Bill Of Materials for the machine. Go to the Bill Of Materials page and then enter the serial number for the machine. The amplifier part number is found in the Core Control of the machine. Follow the example on locating the part number shown in this HBC-BOM video. If the amplifier is part number 32-5550N or 32-3551N continue to checking item 2. If the amplifier is a different part number, refer to the Axis Amplifier - TSG and troubleshoot the amplifier.
  2. Check the front cover of the amplifier. A blue or gray mark [1] indicates the amplifier has the updated programming and the amplifier should not be replaced. If the amplifier has no marking, replace the amplifier.

{Axis}.986 - Amplifier Self Calibration Failed at power up:

  1. Confirm the part number for the amplifier in the Bill Of Materials for the machine.  If the amplifier is part number 32-3551N - BL Smart 45A amplifier continue to checking item 2.  If the amplifier is a different part number, refer to the Axis Amplifier - TSG and troubleshoot the amplifier. Refer to the video HBC-BOM for an example of how to find the part number on HBC.
  2. Check the barcode label on the amplifier. If the label begins with an SI as shown in the image below [2], then the amplifier should be replaced. If it does not, troubleshoot the alarm based on the Axis Amplifier - TSG.

Important: The {Axis}.986 alarm at power up is not uncommon on CHC machines. If the alarm resets, then the amplifier does not have an issue. Refer to the Axis Amplifier - Common Alarms service news for amplifiers on CHC machines experiencing this alarm. If you see this symptom on a machine and the alarm can't be reset without cycling power, then the amplifier needs to be replaced if it meets the criteria above.

If you are troubleshooting amplifier related issues refer to the previous service alerts sent out about known amplifier problems:
